Bluefield Middle School serves grades six, seven and eight in Bluefield WV. We have approximately 575 students with a high priority on academics, character development, attendance and student/parent involvement. A term structure places all students in advisory groups for counseling and nurturing on a daily basis.
Bluefield Middle School faculty, staff, and administrators are firmly committed to meeting the academic and developmental needs of all of our students, to challenging each student to meet his/her highest educational potential in a safe environment, and to inviting family and community participation in the total education process. Within our middle school, we will provide a strong foundation of educational experiences for these emerging adolescents, encouraging attendance to ensure mastery of academic, life-long career and technology-oriented skills, as well as setting goals and using problem solving strategies. Continuous enhancement of the learning environment provides opportunities so that students will develop a sense of personal responsibility, self-discipline, self-worth, sensitivity, and mutual respect. Student success is the key to a school and community that prospers.
